It was written by Jean-Jacques Goldman and produced by Goldman and Erick Benzi. The song was released as a promotional single in May 1999. "En attendant ses pas" topped the chart in Quebec for four weeks and reached top 10 on the airplay charts in France and Belgium Wallonia.
